Super Storm Sandy: Aftermath in Coney Island, NYC
I saw many damaged cars that had been pushed around by the floods, hit by trees and debris, or overwhelmed by thick sludge. Some roads were still closed with sand up to four foot high in places.
The beach was covered in detritus, small boats, toys and personal effects. One person I saw on the beach, scavenging for fuel, told me he lived close by and was still without power. 2012 Photojournalism -
